ElPrez writes "Okay, I've firmed up the details for this months mini 3-Gun. There are 4 stages, Little Green Men, El Slugfest, Hunt for Bin Laden and Looters in the Streets. The minimum round count stands at 52 rifle, 39 pistol, 15 shot shell and 5 slugs. Max range 75 yards. Two stages are true 3 gun with prepositioned weapons. One is all rifle and one is all pistol. None of the stages are single stack friendly. Should be fun!"

I've had a pretty good response to June's carbine / pistol match. A few of you have expressed the desire to do some shotgun and three gun. So I'm going to do a mini- 3 gun in July. It will be 5 stages in the "L", Container and Pit. There will not be any stages where you need to carry all three guns. But there may be some prepositioned long guns. There will be a couple of pistol only stages and a couple of pistol/shotgun & pistol/carbine stages. We'll get some reloading, transition and moving incorporated. Round count should be pretty low. Figure worst case 100 pistol, 75 rifle, 30 bird-shot & 15 slugs. Max range probably 100 yards or less for carbine, even less for slugs.
Same deal as before. Free to GTA members and $10 for non-members. Sunday July 25, 2010. Sign-in and squadding at 0930 lead flies at 1000.

You'll need a pistol, 3 mags, holster and mag pouch. It's not revolver friendly unless you want to work on reloads. I have six stages planned with a minimum round count of 71, if you don't miss. Unless your last name is Hackathorn, Leatham or Jarrett I'd bring a few more. We'll be shooting steel and cardboard so ease up on the magnums, it's tough on the steel. There's also a bonus mystery stage where you'll be shooting an unfamiliar weapon to accomplish your mission...????
The match is FREE to members and $10 for guests. Guests have to be with a member at all times. Everyone will need to sign in at registration which opens at 0930. Lead will fly at 1000 hours. We'll be squadding so I'll be recruiting some R/O's in the morning. Christina is bringing the lunch wagon down at noon. So we'll have some good chow available too."

Anonymous writes "Greetings Everyone,
We had a good meeting Thursday with the usual suspects present. Thanks to everyone who came out.
Mark your calendars for May 8th. We'll start cleaning up the ranges and getting ready for the season. Working in the morning followed by some shooting in the afternoon. The Marlboro Volunteers reenactment group are coming out to do some live fire. So bring your toys, some work gloves and a strong back and join us. Maybe we'll have a mini Knob Creek and lay some brass carpet.........
The schedule is pretty much set for the year. The web site will be updated in the next few days. Some of the highlights.....First match in May, haven't decide what yet. I'm leaning towards a modified Steel Challenge that can be shot both centerfire and rimfire. June and July are up in the air as to what type. In August we will have a one day defensive shotgun class on Saturday followed by the shotgun match on Sunday. In September we will have the BIG four gun match of the year. Yeah, FOUR gun, can you say PKM? Details will be forthcoming...........stay tuned!
The dates above are matches that I've committed to personally set-up and run. There are plenty of open weekends if anyone wants to step up and set a match up. I'll help out as much as my schedule will allow.
Scott"
